BRUSSELS
VANDERBORCHT-BUILDING
The-Solo-Project is a contemporary art fair with a distinctive character that was first organised in Basel, Switzerland, in 2008, coinciding with Art Basel. After nine editions in Switzerland, the project was transferred to Brussels. The first Belgian edition opened at the end of April 2022.
Recognized as one of the most dynamic and innovative young events in the programming of the international fair calendar, The-Solo-Project is a different contemporary art fair presenting works under a curatorial axis.
The particularity of The-Solo-Project lies in the way it works, as galleries cannot apply by themselves like in other fairs and that each show is dedicated to one single artist.
There are no individual booths. The fair ground is build-up as one great exhibition. Every artist makes a solo presentation, but the spirit is similar to an art fair. Works are for sale, dealers are present, etc.
